Star Trek: Discovery - Episode Titles Revealed for First Four Episodes

We’re less than a week away from going where no man has gone before when Star Trek: Discovery is released and to mark the occasion, the titles of the first four episodes of the CBS All Access prequel series have just been announced.

Set ten years before the original series, Discovery follows Commander Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green), a human Starfleet officer who was raised by the Vulcan ambassador – and father to series icon Spock – Sarek. The series is said to revolve around an important event in the Federation’s history, and while plot details have been closely guarded, we know the Klingons will play a pivotal role – even if they look completely different from any prior iteration.

Discovery is the first show to return to the Prime timeline since the end of Star Trek: Enterprise in 2005. The J.J Abrams rebooted universe takes place in the alternative Kelvin timeline.

Causing some consternation for fans, reviews for the show are currently under embargo until the premiere – a move usually associated with troubled productions which usually yields poor movies or television shows – however, keen to keep interest at a pique, the official Discovery twitter page has revealed the first four titles in a brand-new teaser trailer.

The episodes are: The Vulcan Hello, Battle at the Binary Stars, Context is for Kings, and The Butcher’s Knife Cares Not for the Lamb’s Cry.

Star Trek: Discovery premieres Sunday, September 24 on CBS. The remaining episodes will stream exclusively on CBS All-Access in the US and via Netflix in the rest of the world.
