Will The Joker Return for Gotham City Sirens?
Jared Leto has refuse to either confirm or deny that he will appear in the upcoming Gotham City Sirens movie, which sees Margot Robbie reprising her role as the anti-hero Harley Quinn alongside Catwoman and Poison Ivy – who have yet to be cast.
Not a lot is known about the movie other than Suicide Squad director David Ayer will helm the movie and the Tomb Raider reboot writer Geneva Dworet-Robertson will pen the script – although it’s safe to assume that if Harley Quinn is to appear, Jared Leto’s Joker can’t be too far away either.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight during the premiere of HBO’s new documentary series The Defiant Ones on Thursday, Leto dodged the question, of whether he will be involved in the upcoming project which is in the early stages of development.
He said: “I have no idea, there are a lot of moving parts with that stuff and we’ll see what happens next.”
Leto also went on to say that he would love to see The Joker face off against the DCEU’s golden gal, Wonder Woman in a future movie. Raving about Patty Jenkins’ movie, he said: “I saw the film. I loved it. I thought it was incredible. They did such a good job. I watched Wonder Woman as a kid, and I really enjoyed it.”
Gotham City Sirens is currently in development.
