After 7 films of cars going really, really, fast, it seems Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto has gone off-road and turned evil. It appears, thanks to the machinations of a mysterious terrorist (played by Charlize Theron) who recruits Dom and sets him against his family; forcing them to go against their former leader by working with one of their greatest enemies to take him down.
The Fate of the Furious is intended to kick off a final trilogy of films within the franchise that will bring it to a conclusion with the 10th film.
Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky and Kurt Russell from Furious 7 and before, coming off the last pic’s $1.5 billion worldwide haul. Newcomers include: Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren and Scott Eastwood. F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton) has taken over the wheel to direct.
