The terrible events in the Five Nights at Freddy's series were thought to be over, and night watchmen could go about their rounds safe once again from psychopathic animatronics. Creator Scott Cawthon has good news and bad.
The Five Nights universe will be continuing to haunt our creepy pizza restaurants at night but the next dose won't be in the horror genre. Cawthon has announced Five Nights at Freddy's World which is actually an RPG where we create a party of characters from the FNaF games. Exactly what else it entails is unknown but a demo was planned for Halloween, but it's unlikely to arrive.
"It will not be a horror game," Cawthon posted on Steam, "but a roleplaying game where you create a party using the huge selection of characters from the FNaF games, including the classic, withered, toy, phantom, and nightmare versions. I've been working steadily on characters and hope to start on enemy models next week."
Five Nights at Freddy's World is in early development for PC, Android and iOS.
