Gameplay Trailer For Isometric RPG 'Seven', Made By Former CD Projekt RED Devs

Isometric RPGs have been making a big comeback these last few years but a bunch of former CD Projekt RED developers decided Seven would add something more.

That something would be direct-control and making Seven a lot more action orientated with freerunning mechanics letting us crawl over, shimmy, leap and other stylish acrobatics to traverse the environment and murder-most-foul those who stand against us.

Its first gameplay trailer lets us see this Thief-inspired isometric RPG in action, which is set in an open sandbox world that's non-linear called the Empire of Vetrall. We can pretty much clear any obstacle through climbing horizontally or vertically.

Style and theme wise it's described as "beyond post-apocalyptic" and seems to blend both sci-fi and fantasy with things at once high tech and then medieval and crumbling. Seven is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and the developers worked on CD Project RED's The WItcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Seven is currently in development for PC with no release date announced yet. Hopefully there'll be more to see in the coming months with E3 2016 at the L.A. Convention Center.
