NCSOFT and Carbine Studios have officially revealed the date that WildStar will be moving to a free-to-play business model. Fit with a new name, WildStar Reloaded, the game will see a variety of improvements, updates, and new content.

This move to F2P is touted as the game's largest update which will bring months of improvements to the game ranging from new content, enhanced game systems, and countless quality of life improvements.

Those who are new to the world of WildStar will have access to a streamlined starting experience while those who stick around will be rewarded, especially those who still have an active subscription to the game. If you do, you'll receive exclusive items as a bonus for your loyalty.

The system is currently in closed beta which will run through different phases; the first phase has focussed mostly on testing this new player experience while the second phase will "ensure that the economic aspects of the transition are launch-ready".

If you're subscribed, you already have access to the closed beta but some non-subscribing players have received invitations as well. If you would like to sign up for the closed beta, be sure to check out the official WildStar website.

WildStar Reloaded will arrive on September 29, 2015.
