Electronic Arts has announced the release dates for EA Sports UFC 2. The game will be launching on March 15, 2016 in North America and on March 17th in the rest of the world.

The sequel to the 2009 original is set to add a bunch of new features that will make the gameplay as realistic as possible. These include stunning character likeness and animation, an all new Knockout Physics System, and authentic new moves for the player to master such as Dynamic Grappling and Next-Level Submissions.

What fans should look forward to most is the ability to relive the most impactful moments from recent fights. Brian Hayes, Creative Director on the game, had this to say: “Whether fans want to play upcoming cards, recreate the outcome of recent fights, or go back to fight with MMA legends, we’ll help them do that in the most authentic and exciting way ever in an MMA simulation."

Pre-ordering the game will get you two legendary fighters to play as: UFC Hall of Famer and three-time King of Pancrase, Bas Rutten; and Japanese MMA legend, “The Gracie Hunter” Kazushi Sakuraba. It's also been announced that an additional mystery fighter will be named later on. A "Deluxe Edition" of the game will be available to purchase on release day that, for an additional $20, will get you up to 30 UFC Ultimate Team Premium Packs ($60 value) delivered over 15 weeks.
