The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth Gets Release Date/Teaser Trailer
The new "massive" expansion for The Binding of Isaac, titled "Afterbirth," has today received a quite disturbing release date teaser trailer.
The Binding of Isaac tells the story of super-human Isaac, who escapes into his basement after his mother begins hearing the voice of God demanding a sacrifice be made to prove her faith. Once there, Isaac must use his abilities to face droves of deranged enemies, lost brothers and sisters, his fears, and eventually... his mother.
The Afterbirth expansion will feature a long list of additions to the game, in which the developers anticipate will keep players busy another 100-200 hours. This includes: 100+ new items, Daily Runs, Greed Mode, hundreds of new enhancements and components, such as challenges, a character, an alternate final chapter, game endings, final bosses, enemies, pickups, cards, pills, achivements, rewards, co-op babies, and more!
You can pick up The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth on October 30th for $9.99 on Steam and pre-ordering will come with a discount. A release on consoles is expected to arrive shortly after. Here's the teaser:
