Arnold Schwarzenegger Confirms New Terminator Will Ignore Terminator: Genisys
Like everyone who saw Terminator: Genisys, the makers of the new Terminator reboot are keen to forget it ever happened.
Speaking to the website, The Terminator Fans (via IGN), Arnold Schwarzenegger himself said that the new film would ignore the much-beleaguered film in favour of a clean slate.
He said rather matter of fact, “It's going to ignore Genisys,” offering little plot detail other than that Robert Patrick will not be back as the T-1000, according to Schwarzenegger, who also says the film will not be actually called Terminator 6.
However, what we do know is that Schwarzenegger will return alongside Sarah Connor herself, Linda Hamilton – as well as original director and writer James Cameron, who will serve as a story consultant. New faces joining the war against the machines include Deadpool director Tim Miller and a writers room of Hollywood scribes including David Goyer.
