A Sequel To The Accountant Is In the Works
In news about a sequel you were not expecting, The Accountant is to get a follow up movie.
According to Deadline, the crime-thriller starring Ben Affleck as Christian Wolff, a forensic accountant and a high-functioning autistic with a very dark side, will get a sequel after the original turned a profit of $155 million from a budget of $44 million (that’s right, the accountant made the numbers work).
The deals are still being hammered out Affleck, Jon Bernthal (who appeared as Christian’s just-as-deadly brother), plus the creative team of director Gavin O'Connor, writer Bill Dubuque and producers Lynette Howell Taylor and Mark Williams, so there’s no story developments just yet but our money is on expanding the relationship between the two brothers who both received the same sadistic military ops training from their father.
