Shaun the Sheep Sequel Announced
StudioCanal is working with Aardman once again and will begin pre-production on a sequel to Shaun the Sheep in January 2017.
The original film from 2015 saw Shaun the sheep cause a bit of trouble as a chain of unfortunate events led him and his flock to end up in the Big City. He had to try and get everyone back safely to the green grass of their home on the farm while trying to out smart animal control.
“Shaun’s move to the big screen proved such a success with audiences around the world that he and the flock are very excited to be embarking on another big screen adventure. Aardman is partnering with StudioCanal once again to produce another rip-roaring comedy, featuring Shaun and the rest of the gang in a story that takes them to even greater heights of lunacy," said Aardman co-founder David Sproxton.
Shaun the Sheep grossed over $106 million worldwide proving there's plenty of big Hollywood bucks left to Shaun and his adventures. StudioCanal is co-financing and distributing the sequel in the UK and across Europe.
Shaun the Sheep 2 currently has no window for release.
