Fantastic Four Sequel Not-So-Fantastically Removed From Schedule
20th Century Fox isn't so impressed with the idea of moving forward with another Fantastic Four movie, at least not yet anyway. The follow-up was scheduled for June 2017 but now it's without a date.
The rebooted film was meant to kickstart a new franchise but with the original pulling in just over $160 million worldwide it didn't meet Fox's ambitious box office targets. There's no official word whether it's still on the books but just getting delayed or if they're going back to the script. Fox might even cut their losses now and let it fade away.
Fantastic Four comes to Blu-ray and DVD December 14th and 15th for the UK and US respectively.
