On May 5th, 1980 an SAS squad prepared to storm the Iranian Embassy in London's Princes Gate. Inside, 26 hostages being held captive. 6 Days is the nerve - wracking account of the stand-out leading up to that difficult and daring raid.

Character details have been kept under close wraps but from the images we can see Jamie Bell as one of the agents leading the raid and Mark Strong as what appears to be a hostage negotiator. Filling out the rest of the cast are Marton Shaw and Abbie Cornish.

Shot partly in New Zealand before moving to the epicentre of the raid in the heart of London.

6 Days is the latest from Kiwi director Toa Fraser (The Dead Lands) who's teaming up again with that movies scribe, Glenn Standring, with several former SAS members helping bring realism to an event that was witnessed across the globe and whose exteriors, at least, were famously captured on film.

Producer Matthew Metcalfe teases “a tense action/thriller that will tell the story of one of the most audacious and incredible special forces raids of all time".
