Carbon Studio has released a fresh developer diary for Alice VR which has been built from scratch for virtual reality, but can be played with boring 2D screens for squares.

It's a science fiction adventure where an AI-controlled ship suffers a malfunction and you're awakened early from cryosleep. You're forced to travel down to an alien world in search of a fuel source but discover an entire cities' populace has mysteriously disappeared.

"Venture deep into a world of wonder and abandoned beauty, undermining the laws of physics and choosing the paths that will ultimately decide the fate of both you and the planet. Decipher the workings of alien technology to uncover its secrets and, hopefully, find a way to leave the desolate planet."

The entire adventure is inspired by author Lewis Carroll's literary works, namely Alice (the clue was literally in the name). Carbon Studio has also confirmed that Alice VR will be launching on PC for multiple VR platforms this October 27th.
