Planetary Annihilation: TITANS Released By Uber Entertainment, Free To Backers
Developer Uber Entertainment has snuck up on Planetary Annihilation commanders with a TITANS expansion for the galactic real-time strategy. What's more it's entirely free to backers as a thank you.
For those who own the original Planetary Annihilation but didn't pledge monies during its crowd-funding campaigns, you can enjoy a hefty discount for the TITANS expansion. As its name suggests, super units worthy of the name Titan are introduced that put to shame all those little critters we've been using until now. It's a standalone expansion.
It's more than just some 'big units' getting thrown in as Uber have taken the time to apply a lot of community feedback too.
"We had a lot of goals, and we heard from a lot of people that that original release was rough on Planetary Annihilation," said producer Jeremy Ables. "We tend to agree. There was a lot of stuff that we wanted to get into the game that we just couldn't, in reality."
"And the stuff we heard that wasn't on that plan is what became Titans," he continued. "We expanded the unit roster, we flushed out orbital gameplay so it didn't feel so empty in space, we added giant Titan class units, which is what were called in the past Experimentals. We've gone through and added new gameplay modes. The ability to add new terrain to maps so that they have choke points and elevations and what not. And all of this was pulled directly from either reviews or conversation with the community."
Planetary Annihilation: TITANS is available now on PC through Steam.
