Blaster Master Zero Announced
Inti Creates and Sunsoft are bringing a new Blaster Master to Nintendo 3DS early next year with Blaster Master Zero.
The license to the original 1988 Blaster Master was acquired by Inti Creates who announed at their 20th anniversary they were working on a new title in the series. They want to capture that 8-bit magic of the 80s and are using the original as a baseline moving forward.
They're going to harness the 3DS and all the extra power it gives them while keeping faithful to its roots, claims the studio. New areas, bosses and gameplay features are on the list and that includes getting to battle outside your SOPHIA 3rd tank with a lot more exploration. Inti says they're starting back at 'zero' so consider this a full reboot of Blaster Master.
Blaster Master Zero releases on Nintendo 3DS in Spring 2017.
