Igarashi's Bloodstained Becomes Highest Earning Video Game Kickstarter

Finishing up at a whopping $5.5 million with almost 65,000 backers behind the title, Koji Igarashi's Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has topped the charts as the most funded video game software project on Kickstarter to date. Clearly, the world was hungry for Castlevania to head back to its roots.

The project simply tore through its stretch goals grabbing Wii U and Vita releases, a rouge-like dungeon, a 'boss revenge mode', and a new prequel mini-game on the way.

Now we play the waiting game as the developers have Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night scheduled for a 2017 release.
