The official Twitter account for Team Ninja's Nioh has revealed the action RPG has 'gone gold', which means it's ready to press to disc. It releases in early February.
The original message was in Japanese and translated to meaning Nioh had "succeeded in master up," which refers to achieving the 'gold master' status every developer works toward. The studio also confirmed that it will be arriving next month - no delays.
The action RPG is set in the 1600s of Japan's Sengoku period where a westerner - William - arrives in a dark fantasy-inspired version of Japan plagued by demonic yokai. Team Ninja are fans of the Souls series and it has influenced their creative direction with Nioh's combat gameplay.
Nioh releases on PlayStation 4 February 7th in the US, 8th in the UK and Europe and other PAL territories.
