Goosebumps: The Game Will Ship a Few Days Before the Movie
In the post, Hulett compares Goosebumps: The Game to 1987 Macintosh adventure Shadowgate which he claims was one of the first games he found scary due to its thick atmosphere and the ability to lose the light of your torch.
Development required a different approach from what WayForward has traditionally done but "fortunately, it was an approach that meshed very well with the tenets of horror and the story [they] are trying to tell."
The game will be available on October 13 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo 3DS while Xbox One and Xbox 360 players will be able to pick the game up on October 14.
The movie itself, to which this game is a spin-off, will hit cinemas in the US on October 6 while UK fans will be waiting until next February and European fans have been left in the dark.
