Age of Empires IV Announced For PC
Microsoft and Relic Entertainment are bringing back a classic RTS franchise as they announce Age of Empires IV, which comes exclusively to PC in the future.
While we haven't been given much in the way of specifics for the new AoE from Company of Heroes developer Relic, we do know it'll be sticking with the past and not going all futuristic or anything. The announcement trailer teases concepts.
“Relic Entertainment has a wealth of experience in creating high-quality RTS games, making them the ideal partner to develop Age of Empires 4,” Microsoft said. This is the second time SEGA has one of their studios working on a Microsoft IP, having secured Creative Assembly to work on RTS follow-up Halo Wars 2.
Age of Empires IV releases on PC for Windows 10 with no release date disclosed.
