Danger Mouse Movie on the Way!
Oh crumbs, DM! No sooner has Danger Mouse returned to our screens in a brand spanking new animated series for CBBC, Hollywood has come calling.
Sony Pictures Animation and Studio Canal are joining forces on the project, which is being overseen by Neal Mortiz's Original Film company. It's unclear whether the mighty Brian Cosgrove will retain direct involvement. He's certainly been working as a consultant on the new CBBC show, but his name isn't attached to the project thus far.
The aim of this project is to retain its essential Britishness – you know, bagpipes growing wild in the highlands of Scotland, the Planet of the Toilets, flooding the world with instant custard – while bring the adventures of the greatest secret agent in the world and his sidekick Penfold to a whole new audience.
The producers are on the lookout for a writer to draft a screenplay.
