BOTGame Has Started; Square-Enix Announces F2P Mech Shooter 'Figureheads'

Giant robots? Check. Stylish melee finishers? Check. Customisable anime-girl pilots? Check, we think... If you're not sure what we're talking about, you might not have seen the unexpected teaser trailer that appeared on Square-Enix's Youtube Channel earlier today.

The video above reveals a new free-to-play third-person shooter called 'Figureheads' which seems to be a five-on-five shoot-off between robots. Concrete details are scarce but we can expect an update on the 10th of June according to the official website.

From what we can grasp, the game will feature intelligent A.I teammates (although humans would be preferred) and differing classes as opposed to customisable robots, but we expect to be proven wrong.

The game also appears to be slated only for Windows PC at the moment.
