It: Chapter Two Release Date Announced
When not appearing in your waking nightmares Pennywise the Clown occasionally appears in cinemas where he and those who seek to stop him have dominated the box office to the tune of $478 million and counting. Rightly so, a sequel has been greenlit and now we know just when we’ll be getting Chapter Two.
Andy Muschietti will be back to direct the adaptation of the second half of Stephen King's book, It, which follows the heroic Loser's Club as they return to Derry, Maine after 27 years away. They thought they'd escaped the place and its nightmare creature, but a devastating phone call brings them all back. The new movie will also feature flashbacks to the kids' story too.
The film will arrive in cinemas on September 6, 2019 where it will go toe to toe on Labor Day weekend with an untitled Blumhouse horror film that will probably cower in fright before scuttling off to another release date.
