Arnold Schwarzenegger Stars In Killing Gunther Trailer
There are hitmen and then there’s Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Gunther. He’s the king of professional killers – a fact that doesn’t sit well with a cabal of his fellow assassins who take It upon themselves to try to kill the king. Big mistake.
Heading back into the world of comedy, Killing Gunther – which was originally called Why We’re Killing Gunther – is the brainchild of former SNL veteran turned first time writer/director Taran Killam and it looks like a whole arsenal of fun.
Framed as a mockumentary, the film finds Schwarzenegger as the title character, a man so good at his job that all the other hired hit-people are annoyed and looking to bump him off to open up the market again. Enter Blake (Killam), who gathers an allegedly great team of fellow killers (including characters played by Hannah Simone, Allison Tolman, Steve Bacic and Bobby Moynihan) who are ready, willing, and able to take him on…or die trying.
The film will be on limited release in the US from 20 October.
