Shia LaBeouf Won't Return for Indiana Jones V
We all like to pretend that 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull never happened and now apparently so do the creative team behind the upcoming Indiana Jones V.
Writer of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and its upcoming follow up David Koepp has told Entertainment Weekly will not feature Indiana Jones’ son Mutt Williams, who was played by Transformers star, Shia LaBeouf.
“Harrison plays Indiana Jones, that I can certainly say," he tells the magazine's site. "And the Shia LaBeouf character is not in the film."
"We’re plugging away at it. In terms of when we would start, I think that’s up to Mr. Spielberg and Mr. Ford," he continues. "I know we’ve got a script we’re mostly happy with. Work will be endless, of course, and ongoing, and Steven just finished shooting The Post. If the stars align, hopefully it’ll be his next film."
It sounds like it will be all systems go on the project and it’s comforting that whoever Dr. Jones takes with him Mutt Williams will be otherwise engaged.
