Survivor Mode Coming Free to Far Cry: Primal

The fight for survival is about to get a lot more brutal, claims Ubisoft in their latest UbiBlog post. This month will be seeing a free content update for Far Cry: Primal on all available platforms which will include a Survivor Mode.

In Survivor Mode, Takkar will have a visible stamina gauge which, once deplenished, will make him slower and weaker until he sleeps. Also, you won't have access to your minimap, you'll encounter less creatures, and fast travel will consume both stamina and food when you use it.

If you want a challenge that bites you back, you'll even be able to turn on a 'permadeath' mode, ending the game the first time you die (barring 'vision missions'). Additionally, there's a secondary option which will give you a single back-up life which can be replenished at certain points in the game.

This content will be delivered in the form of a free patch on April 12.
