First Trailer for Wes Anderson's Isle Of Dogs
Eight years since Wes Anderson first experimented with Fantastic Mr. Fox, he’s once again charming audiences with his latest venture into stop-motion animation, Isle of Dogs – and the first trailer has just dropped.
Set twenty years in the future, Japan has become over-populated…with canines. The corrupt mayor of Megasaki City, Kobayashi, orders that all the pooch pets are exiled to a massive rubbish dump known as Trash Island.
However, while the dogs are trying to make the best of it, a young boy named Atari (Koyu Rankin) arrives, seeking his snatched bodyguard hound Spot. With the help of a new-found pack of mongrel friends, he sets off on an epic journey that will have ramifications for everyone, human or canine.
Featuring a stellar cast including Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Scarlett Johansson, Liev Schreiber, Courtney B. Vance and Ken Watanabe, will be out in the UK on 30 March next year.
