Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie Begins Filming
Principal photography has begun for Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie which brings back Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley as the iconic fashion duo Edina and Patsy. This time they're coming to the big screen.
Other memorable characters will be returning with Julia Sawalha as Saffron, June Whitfield as Mother and Jane Horrocks as Bubble. “I am thrilled and excited to finally start filming. We are all taking our medication and hoping for the best,” said Saunders.
“We’re so happy to join Jennifer, Joanna and the ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ team on their latest and greatest adventures!” said Fox Searchlight Pictures' Claudia Lewis. “Ab Fab on the big screen is a treat we’ve been hotly anticipating at BBC Films and we’re very proud to join Jennifer and her terrific team for this delicious reunion,” added BBC Films' Christine Langan.
Edina and Patsy are blamed for an incident at a super fashionable launch party and have to deal with a whirlwind of media and paparazzi. They leave without much to their name and escape to the French Riviera, where they try to come up with a plan to keep living the high life.
Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie has no release schedule yet, but is most likely aiming for 2016.
