Ron Perlman Still Wants A Hellboy 3

It has been seven years since we last got to see Lovecraftian horrors punched in their stupid faces by the stone fist of Hellboy, but Ron Perlman is still eager to finish a story which is, in his opinion, a trilogy.

So, this all started with a simple tweet from Perlman on June 3rd which got fans abuzz with excitement once more.

Since then, Perlman has continued to speak here and there about the prospects of a Hellboy 3, such as to rule out crowd-funding the movie.

Most recently, however, Ron Perlman opened up a little to Variety on the issue. He stated "I’ll tell you the same thing I’ve been telling everyone else, the Hellboy saga was meant to have a beginning, a middle and an end, and that, if you were loyal enough to us where you came and watched both those two movies that we made, we owe you a resolve ... I think it’s a discussion worth having, and I think it’s something we owe the fans and I’m being very clear about that".

Now, Ron Perlman is one of two people without whom the Hellboy series cannot continue, the other being director Guillermo Del Toro. The problem with this is Del Toro is a very busy man, with promotions for Crimson Peak about to start and Pacific Rim 2 entering production after that.

Hellboy 3 is still in limbo right now and may or may not be getting made, but you can guarantee we'll be here to celebrate if it's announced and organize an angry mob if it isn't.
