The Gunslinger Faces the Man In Black in New Dark Tower Clip
Lifting the veil of mystery that still surrounds The Dark Tower, a brand-new clip finally shows us just what happens when the Gunslinger comes face to face with the Man in Black.
The clip, via Polygon, which aired last night during the BET Awards, shows us new footage of the Gunslinger, the film’s main protagonist played by Idris Elba, and the Man in Black, an antagonist played by Matthew McConaughey – who are both wielding all kinds of weapons that we haven’t seen before.
Along with the footage are behind the scenes interviews with the main players, Elba, McConaughey, and Stephen King, who applauded the studios decision to go with Elba.
Set up as a sequel to the seven-novel series by Stephen King, the film follows Roland Deschain, the last of a line of men known as gunslingers, who journeys across a post-apocalyptic world to track down an evil figure known as the Man in Black. The only thing the Man in Black wants to see is the total destruction of Earth and it’s up to Deschain to stop him.
The Dark Tower will loom over cinemas from the 18th August.
