Friday The 13th Reboot Cancelled By Paramount
It’s been staggering around a forest, aimlessly looking for a way out but, stalking it in the darkness armed with a machete, Paramount Pictures have mercilessly slaughtered the Friday the 13th remake.
For a while, it looked like the film was back on track s director Breck Eisner stepped aboard last year but has now Paramount shut down the film weeks before it was due to start shooting. There were rumours of fresh trouble when the movie, along with Brad Pitt staring Zombie sequel World War Z 2 was also pulled from Paramount’s schedule.
The Friday the 13th reboot was due to hit screens in October but is now back in movie limbo. As for a reason, a source told The Hollywood Reporter that the movie simply wasn’t ready to go – and it probably doesn’t help that Paramount’s other attempt to revive an old horror franchise, Rings, has failed to set the box office alight.
But for now, Jason Voorhees is dead and buried.
