Tomb Raider Movie Poster Revealed
Warner Bros. have unveiled the first poster for the upcoming reboot of Tomb Raider.
Heavily influenced by the 2013 video game reboot and its sequel Rise of the Tomb Raider, the movie stars Alicia Vikander, as Lara Croft and she appears to be holding a red climbing axe, the same type of weapon she wields in the recent games. She also seems to have picked up a similar wound on her right arm, just like in the 2013 game reboot.
The story follows Croft as she tries to solve her father's mysterious death. The rest of the cast includes Dominic West as Lara's father, Lord Richard Croft, Into the Badlands' Daniel Wu and Walton Goggins as the movie's villain.
Director Roar Uthaug is aiming for a more grounded take on Tomb Raider, and is aiming to avoid using too much CGI and special effects that other adaptations have included.
Tomb Raider is set to open in theaters on March 16, 2018.
