Batman Return of the Caped Crusaders Introduces Batman's Fiercest Foes!
Holy wave of nostalgia Batman! Hot on the heels of last week’s teaser, which gave us our first look at Adam West and Burt Ward’s return their iconic roles as Batman and Robin in Warner Bros. brand new animated Batman feature, Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, we’ve now got our first glimpse of Batman’s iconic villains.
For those not in the know, West and Ward played the live-action television iterations of the Caped Crusaders in a TV series that started back in 1966, and now we get to see (or rather hear) the duo back in action with the full trailer for Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders.
It's big villains, making an even big splash in Gotham City – thanks to the extra freedom animation gives to the characters to do far more than they ever did in the original TV series.
While we don’t know what The Joker, The Penguin, The Riddler and Catwoman (voiced by Julie Newmar again) are upto, we do, however have a synopsis, which BIFF! BANG! POW! Says:
“It’s back to the 1960s as Batman and Robin spring into action when Gotham City is threatened by a quartet of Batman’s most fiendish foes – Penguin, The Joker, Riddler and Catwoman. This time, the four Super-Villains have combined their wicked talents to hatch a plot so nefarious that the Dynamic Duo will need to go to outer space (and back) to foil their arch enemies and restore order in Gotham City. It’s a truly fantastic adventure that will pit good against evil, good against good, evil against evil … and feature two words that exponentially raise the stakes for both sides: Replicator Ray. Holy Multiplication Tables!”
Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders arrives on Digital HD on October 11 and Blu-ray and DVD on November 1.
