Stranger Things Season 2 Release Date Announced
Stranger Things Season 2 will air October 27th and to celebrate the announcement, Netflix have unveiled a very pretty, very Lovecraftian poster.
According to IGN, The last trailer promised a Halloween release date but it appears to now be a Halloween season release instead.
Responding to a fan, Netflix explained the decision to release the series a few days earlier by saying "there will be [some] new Halloween costume inspiration".
The Stranger Things Twitter account also released a new teaser video for the show.
As for any season 2 details, we know that it follows on directly from the first, but adds several new characters, including a "kind-hearted former nerd" played by Samwise Gamgee himself, Sean Astin. Finding Nemo director Andrew Stanton will direct two episodes of the season, which is aiming to be "weirder and darker" than the last.
Stranger Things Season 2 debuts October 27th on Netflix.
