Mighty No. 9 Greatly Goes Gold, Releasing June 21st
Keiji Inafune's Mighty No. 9 has finally gone gold after such a long wait, which the veteran designer is "sincerely sorry" for. Now the side-scolling hero Beck can save the world.
No more delays can now stand between fans and the game they Kickstarted which saw over 67k backers pledge $3,845,170. It stands among one of the most successfully funded projects on the crowd-funding site. The scrolling action title is being developed by comcept USA, Keiji Inafune's own studio since leaving Capcom.
"We are finally able to deliver some long awaited news regarding Mighty No. 9. We have now confirmed the following release dates for Mighty No. 9: June 21st 2016 (North America & Asia) and June 24th 2016 (World Wide). We understand that as a result of the various delays we have disappointed and let down our fans, but we are happy to finally be able to deliver the game to everyone who brought us this far."
The June release is for the PC and console versions while Mighty No. 9 for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS "will follow at a later point." The Kickstarter campaign began nearly 3 years ago and now the journey to launch to almost over.
Mighty No. 9 comes first to North America June 21st, and days later June 24th in Europe.
