Channing Tatum's Next Movie to Pull Your Heartstrings
Grab your hankies as Channing Tatum’s latest sounds like a real tear-jerker. The 22 Jump Street star has signed on the dotted line to produce and star in an adaptation of Two Kisses for Maddy.
Matthew Logelin’s weighty and emotional novel tells his own struggle to his child recently born daughter, Madeline Elizabeth Logelin, after losing his high school sweetheart Elizabeth Goodman just 27 hours after she struggled through Madeline’s difficult birth.
Turning to blogging to update his friends on his difficulties, at the height of its popularity, the blog received over 40,000 hits a day, while the subsequent novel Two Kisses for Maddy: A Memoir of Loss and Love hit the New York Times bestseller list when it was published back in 2011.
Variety reports writer Dana Stevens (Safe Haven) has been hired to pen the drama and Tatum’s presence should mean that production on Two Kisses for Maddy will begin towards the end of the year, and we can expect it to hit cinemas at the end of 2016.
