Rumour: Justice League Run Time Nearly Three Hours Long

Could the Justice League movie be a butt-numbing near three hours long when it hits cinemas later this year?

The movie is rumoured to weigh in at 170 minutes long – that’s 10,200 seconds of those of you literally left counting the seconds down till it was over, the last time Batman was on the big screen – making it the longest comic book movie ever, beating out The Dark Knight Rises (165 minutes) by five extra minutes (it’s probably all the slow motion – take that out of Justice League and it’ll run at a brisk 88 minutes).

However, those of you worried about your butts can breathe a sigh of relief, according to The Wrap, the movie still isn’t finished yet and nor is this run time locked in. Who knows, it could drop all the way down to a trim 169 minutes...or it could be even longer!

Justice League unites (not assembles, definitely not that) some of DC’s biggest superheroes, including Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). It’s directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio, who wrote Affleck’s 2012 Best Picture winner Argo.

The DC film hits theatres on Nov. 17.
