Steam Summer Sale 2017 Begins June 22nd @ 1.00PM ET / 6.00pm BST

Brace for impact! Valve's start date for the Steam Summer Sale 2017 has been confirmed by PayPal UK. The wallet butchery begins June 22nd @ 6.00pm BST.

The PC community has practically come to rely on Steam's holiday and seasonal themed sales throughout the year as the greatest opportunity to grab games and even expansions/DLC when they're not at eye-watering launch prices.

Leaks about this year's Summer Sale date emerged last month with 2016's event kicking off June 23rd.

With the introduction of Steam's refund system the old ways of these Steam sales has been retired where games / software used to get timed spotlights before prices would increase again. Now all titles are kept at a consistent percentage off as they could just be refunded to get the new lower price, thus defeating the entire point of the old and rather tense system.
