Captain America To Contend With Baron Zemo And A Civil War Confirms Daniel Bruhl

Daniel Bruhl (Woman in Gold) has at last confirmed what Marvel fans had long speculated. He will play the villainous Baron Zemo in Captain America: Civil War.

In an interview with The Independent Bruhl stated "For the first few days I'll walk around like a little boy, just amazed by the magalomania of it, it's such a huge project. We could do 20 films with the budget."

Long-time Cap fans, or avid comic readers may already be familiar with Baron Zemo, however if you tend to stick to the MCU it's unlikely you've heard of this guy. Let's rectify that. First of all Bruhl has not stated whether he will be Playing Heinrich or Helmut Zemo, father and son who both held the title of Baron and were Super-evil scientists that tried to kill Captain America.

The interesting thing is Baron Zemo does play a role in the Civil War comic as a reformed villain who helps Tony Stark A.K.A. Iron Man recruit other former villains to his side. While it's possible he will follow the same role in the movie, it seems more likely he will play a traditional villainous role.

Personally, I just hope they stick to Baron Zemo's original orgin story. In which he is unable to remove his purple hood because Captain America spills glue on him that Baron Zemo created to be impossible to remove which would help the Nazis win the war somehow.

Captain America: Civil War will be out May 6 2016 in the US and has been confirmed to feature, besides Captain America and Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Crossbones, The Winter Soldier, Falcon, and Black Panther. Which is almost as many Avengers as Avengers: Age of Ultron.
