GameStop Locations Hosting Pokkén Tournaments On February 27

Ahead of its launch on March 18th, 2016 for Wii U systems, a few GameStop locations across the U.S. will be giving gamers a chance to play and compete with Pokkén Tournament before its release date.

Ready to show off your fighting skills? The following GameStop locations will be hosting tournaments:

2201 Preston Road, Plano, TX
1841 Chamblee Tucker Road, Chamblee, GA
3972 Barranca Parkway, Irvine, CA
8115 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL
6451 W. Diversey Ave., Chicago, IL
242 Bellevue Square, Bellevue, WA
32 E. 14th St. – Union Square, New York, NY
3914 Rivermark Plaza, Santa Clara, CA

Tournaments will be held to the public for free on Saturday, February 27th. Competitors in the competition will be split into two different groups: Gamers 14+ will compete at 11:00 am, while those 13 and under will compete at 2:30 pm. You can head to the GameStop Events page for more information.

So, what can you win? From each city, in each age division, the winner and one guest will be flown to the Nintendo NY store in New York City on March 17th for the Pokkén Tournament Early Access Competition finals. The winner of this competition will receive a Wii U system, Pokkén Tournament game, and another trip to Columbus, Ohio, to fight it out in the 2016 Pokémon US National Championships!
