Comic Con: Wonder Woman Trailer Makes Debut Online
Lining up its current roster of directors, the Warner Bros/DC Movies Comic Con panel wasted no time in getting down to the nitty gritty – the sweet, sweet promise of new footage and, up first, Patty Jenkins and our first look at the Wonder Woman trailer.
One word: empowering.
The footage is heavy on intriguing combat, otherworldly designs and some snappy banter between Wonder Woman/Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) and Steve Trevor (Chris Pine). We get a glimpse of the pairs first meeting after Trevor’s plane is shot down travelling over the Amazon-occupied island of Themyscira, where he learns of their Godlike powers, and some combat footage from WW 1 where Trevor is very much the sidekick to the awesome, ass-kicking power of Wonder Woman.
And, there’s also just enough time for a laugh or two from Etta Candy (Lucy Davis) as she learns the true value of a secretary.
Basically, if you loved her in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, you’ll love her gleefully slaughtering foes in her very own movie.
With Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, Danny huston and Ewen Bremner also in the film, Wonder Woman will be out in the UK on June 2, 2017.
