The Frankenstein Codes Brings Reanimating The Dead To The Modern Age In New Trailer

Clearly eager to drum up interest for this modern re-imagining of Mary Shelley's classic horror about the hubris of man, Fox have released the first trailer for The Frankenstein Code a full year before they plan to air it.

The series is a re-imagining in the loosest sense, as it seems to bear little resemblance to Frankenstein beyond it's title and reanimating a corpse. Even that second one is suspect, considering Dr Frankenstein stitched together multiple people to create a new man, rather than just bringing someone back from the dead.

The show centres around an elderly sheriff, who is killed until mysterious circumstances that are tied in some way to his son. His body is then stolen and using what appears to be little more than a large tank of water, the sheriff is returned to life and rejuvenated to his prime. After overcoming resurrection, the sheriff seeks to protect his son's life while also dealing with the consequences of the process.

Robert Kazinsky (Warcraft) will star as the resurrected sheriff back in his prime, with Adhir Kalyan (Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2) and Dilshad Vadsaria (30 Minutes or Less) as the duo who do the resurrecting, and Tim DeKay (White Collar) as the sheriff's son.

The Frankenstein Code is set to premier on Fox Fall 2016 and you can watch the first trailer below:
