Toukiden 2 Western Release Date Announced
KOEI Tecmo have announced the platforms and Western release date for demon-hunting RPG sequel Toukiden 2, and it's coming to PC and consoles mid-March.
A new trailer has also been published to butter us up with news of an official launch date. What's all the fuss about in this follow-up to the original Toukiden?
Toukiden 2 is set two years after Toukiden Kiwai and demons have engulfed all of Nakatsu Kuni (anicent way of saying 'Japan', and meaning 'middle country' between heaven and hell) with a peculiar miasma. The Slayers are tasked with combating this terrible threat and somewhere a dark secret looms alongside a giant disaster from the Meiji period. Basically you'll be pummelling demons, alright?
World exploration is now open world with alterations to hunting grounds from the previous game, and certain parts of the game world will be locked depending on progression within the main story. Combat is now also seamless to go hand-in-hand with the new open world approach.
Toukiden 2 releases on PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita March 21st in the US, 24th in Europe.
