The Blob Remake Moves Forward
As The Blob remake gears up to begin shooting this summer director Simon West (Wild Card) has gone ahead and shared a few scant details of what we can expect from the movie.
Based on the 1958 movie of the same name, The Blob tells the story of a sentient gelatinous blob which crash lands on Earth inside a meteor and begins consuming humans to become larger. West has said that he wants to treat the movie with more seriousness and a good amount of Sci-fi to make the audience believe the blob could exist in the real world., comparing it to Jurassic Park.
Interestingly, West has also said he wants to spend time on the origins of the blob and what its purpose is. This is a step away from the original whose ending left viewers with nothing but unanswered questions when it came to the mysterious alien. Are you glad that after more than fifty years we may finally learn the truth about the blob?
