The X-Files: FOX close to Deal for More Episodes
I want to believe…that Fox are so close to producing more episodes of The X Files.
Although a deal is yet to be finalised for series creator Chris Carter, and stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, it looks certain that we’ll be getting more episodes after the previous run of six proved to be a rating smash.
Asked about doing more X-Files episodes at the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour today, FOX's President, Entertainment, David Madden said: “We hope so. There’s a lot of conversations going on. These conversations are complex, but we hope to be able to announce something shortly.”
Madden also added that the run would be more than six episodes but not a full season of 22 episodes.
Fox were hoping to make an announcement at the TCA press tour but the deals could not be made in time.
