Official reviews are still under embargo but there are plenty of opinions being shared after the world première of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Fans attending the New York City event havealready been tweeting their own reviews and the consensus is that the epic showdown between DC's two titans is well worth the price of admission.Being singled out for praise are BenAffleck for his portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman and Gal Gadot as Diana
Prince/Wonder Woman.

So Ben Affleck is my favorite Batman now.. #BVSPremiere— Kendell B. (@kburton23) 21 March 2016

I would just like to say that the only time the entire audience cheered was for WONDER WOMAN. 🙌🏻💁🏻💃🏻 #BVSPremiere— Tracy (@TKacz11) 21 March 2016

I haven't felt this giddy after watching a movie since The Avengers. Goosebumps. Everywhere. Need to talk about it ASAP. #BVSPremiere— Rodrigo Mariano (@Dragonsfoe) 21 March 2016

#BVSPremiere standing ovation after a gut wrenching emotional cliffhanger. best superhero action ever. best SH film in at least 5 years— Norma Snutsak (@comissionerleon) 21 March 2016

Now, these aren't the opinions of critics - a selected few of which have already seen the movie earlier during the weekend and it will continue to be screened over the coming week - so feel free to treat these reactions as you will; either they are honest opinions or they come from die hard who were caught up in the excitement of the première. It would be difficult to not get caught upin the excitement of a première; it’s nothing if not infectious to be sat in amongst a crowd who are genuinely excited to get an early glimpse of amuch-anticipated film -  let alone being
the very first fans to see it.

However, it wouldn't be the first time that
initial overwhelmingly positive responses have turned out to be a little
premature.

Critical consensus is rumoured to be decidedly mixed but, let's face it, it wasn't likely to receive unanimous praise and, if it's anything like Man of Steel, it'll come under further scrutiny once it's released to the general public.

Basically, Batman V Superman has to work. Not only is it reintroducing Batman to the big screen but it also has the envious task of setting up the wider DC universe, namely the Justice League that the title is so keen to remind us are due to dawn.

It's hard to believe that it’s been 32 months after the project was announced at Comic-Con and now Warner Bros are hoping that Dawn will shine brightly in every corner of the world to the tuneof an estimated global opening of $350M on 35,000 screens – which would makethe film the second-best pre-summer and Easter debut behind Furious 7‘s $397.7M(which is around fourth in the all-time global box office takings).

As Deadline reports, Batman V Superman hasalready logged between $20M-$25M in advance ticket sales at the domestic B.O.before the theatre curtain raises on Thursday at 6PM in every format imaginable— Imax, 4DX, PLF; 3,500 3D sites, even 10 70MM prints.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice goes on general release on 26th March 2016.
