Mr Holmes Confronts the Past in Brand New Trailer
Re-examining some misconceptions about his past and looking to an elusive case to rest, this, the latest trailer for Mr Holmes, sees the great detective looking to get his affairs in order before he is thwarted by age.
Mr Holmes is based on the 2005 novel, A Slight Trick of the Mind, jumps between time periods as Sherlock Holmes (Ian McKellen) sifts through his memories of the case, with the assistance of housekeepers young son, Roger (Milo Parker). Will the greatest detective who ever lived be able to unravel the threads and solve the mystery before his time runs out?
Offering a more traditional take on Holmes, it’s great to see an interpretation of Sherlock Holmes confront the myth of the deerstalker hat and smoking pipe.
Directed by Bill Condon and co-starring Laura Linney, Roger Allam and Frances De La Tour, Mr. Holmes will open in the UK on 19 June 2015 and the US on 17 July 2015.
