Will Star Wars VIII & IX Revisit Famous Planets From Star Wars Universe?
Could we be about to return to some of the key locations from the Star Wars universe.
According to Star Wars News Net, via some shadowy unnamed sources, Tatooine, Mustafar, and Endor will all three have a role in the remainder of the new trilogy.
While they can’t confirm any details, the rumour suggests the planets will pop up in both Episode VIII: The Last Jedi and IX. Tatooine is probably the most likely, given it’s strong connection to the Skywalker family and the forest moon of Endor, which was the site of a key battle in the downfall of the Empire in Return of the Jedi, also seem like happy hunting ground for the continuing Star Wars saga.
Plus, who doesn’t want to reimagine the Ewoks as a battle-hardened race of killer bears? Then there’s Mustafar. We’ve already returned to the sight of Vader’s defeat by Obi-Wan in Rogue One as the site of the Sith Lord’s castle and his humanizing Bacta tank scene. Considering the new films will likely explore what turned Kylo Ren to the Darkside, it makes sense that he’d want to return to key locations from Vader’s past.
This could include everything from Tatooine to Mustafar, so each of these locations may be part of a spiritual road trip for Kylo in the next two movies.
However, as tantalising as it is to plot out a road map for the Star Wars saga, this is all speculation.
