Reece Shearsmith: Inside No.9 to Return for Third Series
Get ready to once again head Inside No.9 as BBC Two have ordered a third series of the darkly comic series.
Reece Shearsmith, co-writer and star alongside his League of Gentleman cohort Steve Pemberton, took to Twitter in full on ‘rumour control’ mode – confirming that the pair had written a third series.
So far, the BBC have yet to official confirm that the series will return.
First airing in 2014, each instalment of the series is set inside a different 'no.9' - from a haunted house to an actor's dressing room. Speaking to Digital Spy in May, Shearsmith said he had ‘high hopes’ for the third series.
"We would like to do more," he said. "It's hard to get a third series of anything these days - they don't do 'em.
"This is slightly different, because it'd be six different things again - and that's possibly a good thing.
"It's not a third series of something they might think has run its course, 'cos as long as we can think of six new different stories, they all could be fresh and interesting again."
