Aaron Taylor-Johnson And Sam Taylor-Johnson to Adapt A Million Little Pieces
Ignoring the fact that the memoir contains so many lies its pants are on fire, director Sam Taylor-Johnson and actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson are working on a new version of James Frey’s controversial ‘memoir’ A Million Little Pieces.
The 2003 book, which alleges to be about Frey’s struggle with drug addiction became notorious three years later when website The Smoking Gun published proof that he had fabricated several of the bigger events in the text. Frey went on The Oprah Winfrey Show later that year and admitted as much to the whole nation – naturally Warner Bros. who were set to adapt the novel quickly baulked at the idea while Frey quickly distanced himself from the controversy.
Now it seems the Johnson’s are looking to adapt the tale, working together for the first time since Nowhere Boy, the film where they met. Despite the problematic nature of the story, they're apparently still interested in the core idea of a man battling his addiction demons.
